Last night was moonlight madness in our town. The street behind us was lit by luminaries and all the shops were handing out cookies and cider.Music was playing and the shops were open until 11 pm.
It was a perfect evening, not too cold and a light snow was falling,
This is another sign of winter, rabbits fur turning from brown to white,
They look lovely in their winter coat safely camouflaged from hunters and predators. We have lots and lots of rabbits living on our property in the country , their trails thread through the most difficult areas to travel, making chase by fox or coyote a challenge.
The dark days of November are among my favourite times of year, sounds odd I know but life has taken a much slower pace for me, far sooner than one would expect , it took me time to adjust to having limitations with my sight, I am a slow learner when it comes to this but I now enjoy the moment for what it brings,
So the cloudy days are what I love and if the sun shines brightly I close my eyes,
the bright sun is not my friend, it steals what sight I have from me.
Sometimes we need to close our eyes to truly see anyway,
